What uncommon things do we want to become common?

Things like:
our children having mutual love and respect for each other.
our teenage children having love, honor, respect and obedience for their parents.
us continually becoming better friends and lovers.
our family totally trusting God in all things and putting our faith in Him to fulfill his promises.

Spiritual Hand-Eye Coordination

By Creg

Want to improve your hand-eye coordination? Pro athletes now use high-tech gadgets to help sharpen their focus. This system begins with a touch-screen test that measures visual & sensory performance. That information is then used for an on-field personalized training program. NFL wide receivers wear glasses with liquid-crystal display lenses that flicker between clear & opaque. The blurry flickering in the lenses forces their eyes to have to focus more intently to be able to see the true light. This system has been proven to improve reaction time & decision making. Jesus has known about this idea for a long time.

After reading Chelsa's last blog again, (read "The Key to a Joyful Life" before you continue) we talked about how your eyes & hands go together spiritually. When you allow your eyes to focus on the dark distractions of life your fists are clenched, your muscles are tight, and your blood flow increases to keep your body on high alert. You're always on the edge & that causes you to physically become prone to weariness and have a lowered immune system. Your mind is led in a maze of confusion, self-pity, anger & revenge. You are a time bomb waiting for someone to light your short fuse. While you're waiting to explode you'll probably end up lying on a couch in someone's office telling them about all of the wrongs that have been done to you.

However, when your eyes are trained to focus on the true light your body relaxes and your hands come open allowing you to receive & then to give God's unending gifts. That allows your mind to follow the clear path that Jesus said leads to true peace & contentment.
"I have come that they may have life & have it to the full."

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

And just like those NFL receivers have found out, this system has been proven to improve reaction time & decision making.
